As we told you last week, St. John Bosco is the 2019 High School Football America 100 national champ. The Braves are the third straight team from Southern California’s Trinity League to win our “mythical” national title. Mater Dei won it in 2017 and 2018.

Speaking of Mater Dei, the Monarchs, whose only loss was in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship to Bosco, finishes No. 2 in our national rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm that we’ve been using since 2013.

St. Frances Academy (Maryland), whose only loss was to Mater Dei, checks-in at No. 3, followed by Florida 7A champ St. Thomas Aquinas at No. 4 and Texas Class 6A Division I champ North Shore at No. 5.

North Shore, which won its second straight title in Texas’ largest classification by beating former No. 5 Duncanville, moves-up three spaces in the last rankings.

Shadow Creek is the only new entrant this week. The Sharks, who were ranked No. 127 last week, soar into the final national rankings at No. 46 after capturing the Texas Class 5A Division I title by beating former No. 21 Denton Ryan. Shadow Creek has now played in two straight state championships in only two years of varsity football.
